Puzzle Medical Devices appoints Stuart Kozlick as President & Chief Executive Officer and Dr Philippe Généreux as Chief Medical Officer

Puzzle Medical Devices Inc., a Montreal-based medtech startup focusing efforts on patients suffering from heart failure, is pleased to announce the recent additions and growth of their team with the appointments of Mr. Stuart Kozlick as their President & Chief Executive Officer and Dr. Philippe Généreux as their Chief Medical Officer.

With over 17 years of experience in medical technologies, Stuart Kozlick is an accomplished leader, engineer, and business professional who leverages a strong foundation in both clinical research and product development to envision and shape medical innovation opportunities. Stuart is recognized for his ability to master complex and evolving life sciences and healthcare technology applications, whilst leading and enabling multi-disciplinary teams to develop and integrate complex medical device systems. His expertise spans several clinical areas including electrophysiology, structural heart, cardiovascular, endovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, orthopedics and minimally invasive surgical devices. This includes interactions with clinicians, healthcare institutions, academia, industry developers, and government – all fostered towards the collaborative goal of medical technology realization, development, and commercialization.

Dr. Philippe Généreux : Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Philippe Généreux, a practicing interventional cardiologist, is the Director of the Structural Heart and Interventional Cardiology Program at the Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute, Morristown Medical Center, New Jersey, USA. Dr. Généreux did his interventional cardiology training at Columbia University Medical Center and Cardiovascular Research Foundation, New York, NY, USA. Dr. Généreux has served as the primary or co-investigator on more than 20 clinical trials and has been published more than 450 times in peer-reviewed cardiology journals. In 2012, Dr Généreux received the prestigious Young Investigators Awards during the international meeting TCT. Dr. Généreux currently serves as a research consultant for the Cardiovascular Research Foundation. He is also practicing interventional cardiologist at Hôpital du Sacré-Coeur de Montréal in Quebec. In addition, he is playing an active role in many star-up companies, including former CMO at Sig.Num, a world-leader in contactless ECG acquisition, clinical advisors at SoundBite Medical Solutions Inc., 4C Medical mitral valve, and serves as CMO at Saranas, which developed the FDA approved Early Bird bleed detection system for transcatheter endovascular interventions.
